Abstract
This project contains the short story "Lover's Bane" and excerpts from two longer stories, "Blight" and "Don't Drink the Water." These pieces are independent works of fantasy, and explore sibling relationships and the intersection between magic and nature, as well as magical realism as a genre. The last section of this project is titled "Ne buvez pas l'eau," and is a partial French translation of "Don't Drink the Water." This translation is a foray into translation as a process and a craft.
