Abstract
My senior project details the rejuvenation and gentrification that came to the neighborhood of Boerum Hill in Brooklyn, N.Y. With the events and challenges faced by one family in particular I show how much change was brought into the neighborhood and how long-time residents are forgotten about and often times left to fend for theirselves. With views from award winning photo-journalists and current residents of Boerum Hill this piece clearly shows that gentrification came into the area and made its presence known.
